The New York Post “Covers” BSGE

On May 19th, the New York Post published an article by  Matt Kenard and Yoav Gonen that centered on our school.  Their focus?  Our students?  Teachers?  The IB Diploma?  No.  They wrote an article about the amount our school charges for ID cards.  Our school charges $5 and the Chancellor’s Regulations say that $2 is the most schools should charge.  The article, titled, “School ID-fee Outrage” was published on their website and on page 6 of their newspaper.  Ms. Johnson said that she was unaware of the regulations and that the money earned was spent on reducing the cost of yearbooks which is allowed by DOE policy.
