Mr. Anderson’s 7th Grade Advisory is hosting another movie night this Friday, afterschool at 3:20 PM. Since the beginning of the school year, the advisory has hosted numerous bake sales and fundraising events that promote various organizations, including ones sponsored by the school’s Helping Hands Committee. This month, Mr. Anderson’s advisory hopes to contribute money for the ongoing effort to fight the deadly and potentially fatal disease, leukemia.
This week’s movie night showcases the 2012 Marvel film, The Avengers. In early December of last year, the advisory
also hosted their first movie night, showcasing the popular film, The Hunger Games. “I believe that movie night is great for students to do something fun in school, however outside an academic environment,” Mr. Anderson remarked on the upcoming event. “My kids and I also like to come up with creative ideas to give back to the community and to the world.”
The event will take place in the library afterschool, following 7th period classes. Students attending should report to the library and should not be tardy. Concessions can be purchased separately throughout the duration of the movie in the library. Tickets will be on sale at $2.50 prior to the event, and $3.00 at the door. Tickets may be purchased from members of Anderson’s advisory, or from Mr. Anderson himself. Anyone is welcome to attend and enjoy an evening of popcorn, suspense and fun.
