photoWhat are your plans for the future?

I don’t see any major changes in my life.

When did you realize you wanted to work in a school?

My first job with kids was when I was 15, in a summer camp. Then, during college I participated in a summer academic program and I realized that I wanted to pursue this career after college.

What were you like as student?

I definitely liked school a lot. I was a very active in classes and in extra-curricular activities. I didn’t enjoy math and science. But I got good grades in all of my classes. I was a curious student and I asked many questions.

What do you do in your free time?

I spend a lot of my time with my family. I like to run and I read a lot. I also listen to the radio and I like to garden and watch movies.

If you could have any superpowers, what would they be and what would you call yourself?

I guess super strength would be cool. Also being able to teleport would be really cool. But I wouldn’t like any sort of super outfit, like red underwear or anything like that.

Is being a teacher your dream job? If not what is it?

I really like my work a lot. Most days I find myself realizing why i do the work that I do and why I come to work everyday. This is very meaningful and important to me.

Do you have any weird hobbies?

I don’t think I do really, to be honest.

What do think the best thing about BSGE?

I think that almost everyone who is here: students and adults, really want to be here and really believe in what they are doing, which makes for a really positive community. Students and adults for the most part really work hard.

What is the most adventurous things you have ever done?

Probably the most adventurous thing that I have ever done was leaving college after two years, and moving to Spain.

What is your favorite thing about being a guidance counselor?

I like talking with people and having the opportunity to really listen to them and help them. I like being able to work with individuals like students, teachers, staff and families.
