Friday was a day Claire Bergerson will remember forever as Claire threw a no-hitter in BSGE’s Lady Sting’s 14-0 victory over Queens Vocational.
No Queens Vocational batter was able to locate Claire ‘s pitches during the game. Claire threw a no-hitter, striking out 12 batters and walking two while recording her momentous feat. She got Collado to strike out for the final out of the game.
The biggest inning for BSGE’s Lady Sting was the second. In the inning Lady Sting scored 12 runs.
Claire got on base four times in the game for PSAL Lady Sting. She scored one run and had two RBIs. She homered in the fourth inning.
Guerrero ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed 14 runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked 19 and struck out one.
The game was never in doubt after the first, as PSAL Lady Sting scored one run on.
