On Thursday, May 8th, BSGE teachers, parents and staff attended a social gathering sponsored by the PTA at Cavo, a local restaurant. The purpose of the gathering was to get the BSGE community together to interact in a social setting. Some parents met our school’s new Parent Coordinator Margaret Pasach for the very first time.The gathering, held from six to nine p.m., also gave parents an opportunity to meet with their children’s teachers in a setting outside of school.
Mr. Lakhaney, 7th grade Humanities teacher, said, “It was a lot of fun, the food was very good, and the event was nicely arranged. It was nice to talk to parents outside of Parent Teacher Conferences about different things outside of just education.”
BSGE previously held a similar event two years ago at the same restaurant which was similarly successful. Having a full-time parent coordinator again this year for the first time in years helped make this event possible. Because of the success of this year’s event, the PTA plans to put on the same event again next year.
