Emily Costa leads BSGE Lady Sting to 29-2 victory

IMG_6322Emily Costa came up big at the dish and on the rubber, leading BSGE Lady Sting to a 29-2 win over American Studies on Friday at Queensbridge Park.

Costa racked up seven RBIs on two hits for BSGE Lady Sting. She doubled in the first inning and homered in the second inning.

Costa kept contact to a minimum, striking out 10 American Studies batters. Costa allowed two earned runs, two hits and four walks over four innings.

Twenty-nine runs in the opening three innings allowed BSGE Lady Sting to easily put away American Studies.

BSGE Lady Sting easily handled American Studies pitching as nine hitters combined for 10 hits, 24 RBIs and 29 runs scored.

Nina Don scored four runs and drove in five. Jamie Carroll drove in three on two hits.

Tenzin Dorjee took the loss for American Studies. She allowed 10 runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked eight and struck out none.
