Claire Bergerson was untouchable on Tuesday, allowing no hits in four innings in BSGE Lady Sting’s 24-1 victory over Information Tech HS.
No Info Tech batter was able to locate Bergerson’s pitches during the game. Bergerson struck out six batters and walked three. She got Giemay Manuel to ground out for the final out of the game.
Emily Costa rocked Info Tech with two home runs. Costa went 2-4 in the game with five RBIs and four runs scored. Costa homered in the second and third innings. Bergerson and Catcher Rakia Islam also hit home runs with four and five RBIs respectively.
Jennifer Qu went 5 for 5 with three runs scored and two stolen bases.
Lady Sting Softball easily handled Information Tech pitching as seven hitters combined for 17 hits, 20 RBIs and 21 runs scored.
